Bradley Automotive rallies past Einspahr Construction
Bradley Autotmotive didn’t give up the fight Thursday night against Einspahr Construction in Cal Ripken Minor.
Trailing 4-1 after four innings of play, Bradley Autotmotive rallied back with four runs in the top half of the fifth to beat Einspahr Construction 5-4.
The second game between Axis Seed and Boonville Ready Mix was postponed due to rain.
As for Bradley Automotive, they opened the game with one run in the top half of the first only to have Einspahr Construction rally back with one in its half of the inning to tie the game at 1-all. Then, after Einspahr Construction plated one run in the second and two again in the third to go up 4-1, Bradley Automotive put on its rally caps two innings later with four runs for the victory.
Noah Hackman picked up the win on the mound for Bradley Automotive, 6-5, while Kaiden Stover took the loss for Einspahr Construction, 7-4. Layne Rapp started the game for Bradley Automotive and pitched 1 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on four walks. Hackman then came in and pitched 4 2/3 innings in relief and allowed two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out eight batters.
For Einspahr Construction, Karson Elbert pitched one inning and surrendered one run on two hits and one walk while striking out three batters. Landon Conz then came in and pitched 2 2/3 innings and issued one hit and two walks while striking out seven. Meanwhile, after Kaiden Stover pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief and yielded four runs on three hits and one walk while striking out two, Kannen Kempf came in and pitched one inning and gave up two walks while striking out three batters.
Bradley Automotive also out-hit Einspahr Construction 6-2, with Chandler Twenter going 2-for-3 with a single and a double. Josh Solomon also doubled while Noah Hackman added a single and one RBI and Layne Rapp and Easton Gerding each with one single.
For Einspahr Construction, Karson Elbert went 2-for-2 with a single, double and one RBI.
