QuinlanAgency.com upends CARSTAR; Huebert Fiberboard knocks off Rt. B
QuinlanAgency.com could get used to play games at the high school ballfield.
After doubling up CARSTAR 16-8 in the first game Tuesday night in Cal Ripken Major, QuinlanAgency.com also moved into a three-way tie for first with Central Realty and Rt. B Cafe at 2-1.
Of course Rt. B Cafe had a chance to be all alone at the top with a win in the second game against winless Huebert Fiberboard. However, Hubert Fiberboard had other thoughts while lead Rt. B Cafe from start to finish for a 11-2 victory.
Needless to say, it wasn’t pretty early on for QA.com while trailing CARSTAR 3-2 after one inning of play. CARSTAR also led 7-5 after three. However over the final three innings, QA.com began to find its footing while outscoring CARSTAR 11-1 for the victory.
QA.com scored four in the fourth, two in the fifth and five in the sixth, while CARSTAR added one in the bottom half of the fifth.
Chase Chamberlain picked up the win on the bump for QA.com while Darrin Leonard took the loss for CARSTAR.
Chamberlain pitched the first-three innings and struck out four batters while giving up seven runs on five hits and two walks. Brooks Poulsen then came in and pitched two innings in relief and allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out three batters. Meanwhile, to finish the game, Lucas Schuster pitched one inning and struck out three batters.
For CARSTAR, Darrin Leonard pitched the first-four innings and gave up nine runs on 11 hits and two walks while striking out eight batters. Baylor Jackson then came in and pitched one inning in relief and allowed two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out one batter. Then, to finish the game, Payton Oeth pitched one inning and surrendered five runs on three hits and one walk while striking out two batters.
QA.com also finished the game with 17 hits in the game, with Chase Chamberlain going 4-for-4 with one single, three doubles and three RBIs. Lucas Schuster was 3-for-5 with three doubles and five RBIs while Shawn Beach-Reasons added two singles, one double and one RBI, Brooks Poulsen three singles and one RBI, Isaac Herman with two singles and two RBIs, Logan Conz one single and one RBI and Dylann Clark with one single.
For CARSTAR, Payton Oeth had one single and two doubles. Baylor Jackson finished the game with two singles and two RBIs while Darrin Leonard, Jett Storm and Maddex Jackson added one single each and Charles Alexander and Camrin Massey each with one RBI.
In the nightcap, Huebert Fiberboard had its best game to date with 11 runs on seven hits while holding Rt. B Cafe to just two runs on four hits.
Huebert Fiberboard also put the game out of reach after the first-two innings while leading Rt. B Cafe 8-1.
Rt. B Cafe never recovered after that while managing only one run in the bottom half of the fourth. As for Huebert Fiberboard, they added three more runs in the top half of the fourth to go up by 10 after 3 1/2.
Samuel Hage picked up the win on the hill for Huebert Fiberboard while Brayden Viertel took the loss for Rt. B Cafe. Hage pitched all four innings and struck out 10 batters while giving up two runs on four hits and two walks.
For Rt. B Cafe, Viertel pitched 1 1/3 innings and gave up six runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three batters. Aiden Swanson then came in and pitched two innings in relief and issued four runs on two hits and four walks while striking out two batters. Then, to finish the game, Bodie White pitched 2/3 inning and yielded one run on two hits and one walk while striking out one batter.
Hage also finished the game with two singles and drove in one run. Brad Norbury had a triple and one RBI while Reece Townlain added a double and two RBIs, Jayden Salzman with one single and two RBIs and Dylan Kosky and Bryson Welch each with one single and one RBI.
For Rt. B Cafe, Aden Rapp went 2-for-2 with a single, double and one RBI. Kailen Vaca had one single and one RBI while Lane Hackman added one single.
