QuinlanAgency.com wins on walk off in sixth inning against Central Realty

After dropping a heartbreaker the night before in Cal Ripken Major, QuinlanAgency.com had one go its way Tuesday night against Central Realty by scoring the go ahead run on a bases-loaded walk for a 8-7 victory.

In the nightcap, CARSTAR opened the 2020 season in convincing fashion by beating Hubert Fiberboard 11-3.

QA.com, 1-1 on the season, led Central Realty 3-2 after the first and 6-2 after three. However, in the fourth and five innings, Central Realty rallied back with two runs in each frame to tie the game at 6-all. Meanwhile, after trading runs in their next at bat to make it 7-7, QA.com came back and scored the winning run on two walks and two hit batters.

Brooks Poulsen picked up the win in relief for QA.com while Clayton Schuster took the loss for Central Realty, 0-1. Poulsen pitched one inning and gave up one hit and one walk while striking out one batter. Schuster, meanwhile, pitched one-plus inning in relief of starter Jailyn Patel and allowed two runs on one hit and five walks while striking out one batter.

QA.com also finished the game with three hits, all being singles. Shawn Beach Reasons went 1-for-2 with a single and one RBI while Dylann Clark and Chase Chamberlain added one single each.

For Central Realty, which had five hits in the game, Cash Leonard and Cooper Brandes each had one double while Clayton Schuster, Gabe Romero-Shelton and Jailyn Patel added one single each.

In the second game, CARSTAR led Huebert Fiberboard from start to finish.

CARSTAR led Huebert Fiberboard 3-1 after one and 3-2 after two before putting up five more runs in the third and three again in the fifth to make it 11-2. Meanwhile, in the bottom half of the fifth, Huebert Fiberboard tacked on another run.

Payton Oeth pitched the first-four innings to pick up the win for CARSTAR. Brady Norbury took the loss for Huebert Fiberboard. Oeth struck out 12 batters and gave up just two runs on two hits and one walk. Norbury, meanwhile, started the game and pitched 2 1/3 innings and surrendered six runs on one hit and seven walks while striking out two batters.

CARSTAR also out-hit Huebert Fiberboard 7-3, with Jett Storm going 2-for-3 with two singles and two RBIs. Camerin Massey also had two singles and drove in one run, while Payton Oeth added a double and one RBI, Baylor Jackson also with one double and Aiden Schueler with one single.

For Huebert Fiberboard, 0-1, Seth Thomas, Bryson Welch and Jayden Salzman each had one single.
