Ss. Peter & Paul 7th girls beat Oakland, eighth grade loses

Bella Imhoff finished the game with a double double with 15 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Ss. Peter & Paul girls seventh grade basketball team past Oakland 43-24 on Tuesday, Nov. 24 in Columbia.

The Lady Warriors, 2-3 on the season, led Oakland 29-6 at the half and 39-14 after three quarters of play. Oakland held a 10-4 advantage in the final period.

Imhoff also had five rebounds and one assist in the game for Ss. Peter & Paul. Delaney Rowlett added nine points, two steals and two assists while Ellise Kirchner chipped in seven points, Hillary James four points and three steals, Addy Johnson three points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals, Emerson Comegys two points and two steals, Ellie Nave two points and one steal and Alyssa Brownfield with one rebound and one steal. 

The Oakland girls eighth grade basketball team outscored Ss. Peter & Paul 12-3 in the first quarter and never looked back for a 34-14 win on Tuesday, Nov. 24 in Oakland.

The Lady Warriors, dropping to 4-2 on the season, trailed Oakland 19-8 at the half and 29-10 after three quarters of play. Meanwhile, in the final period, Ss. Peter & Paul matched Oakland with four points.

Jada Porter had 22 points to lead all scorers for Oakland.

For Ss. Peter & Paul, Lillian Newham finished the game with seven points, three rebounds, one steal and one assist. Mabry Caton added five points while Mia Eckerle had two points and two rebounds, Sophie Zoeller with two rebounds and Becca Shaw and Lauren Thompson each with one rebound.
