Holtwick Chiropractic transitions to Boonville Chiropractic

Boonville Daily News
Tanner Green, a 2013 graduate of Boonville High School, has opened up his own chiropractice care in Boonville. Green was named successor to Dr. David Holtwick, who practiced chiropractic care for 39 years.

After 39 years of providing quality chiropractic care, Dr. David Holtwick, D.C. recently retired and announced Dr. Tanner Green, D.C. as his successor.

With plans in place to transition care before his retirement, the fire in downtown Boonville caused his practice to relocate to a temporary office at 1424 West Ashley Road in Boonville.  Dr. Green started seeing patients Monday, May 10, following Dr. Holtwick’s retirement.

Dr. Holtwick would like to thank his patients from Boonville and the surrounding area for their support during his time of practice.  He practiced for 27 years at 321 Main Street in Boonville. He opened his practice in Boonville in July of 1994 as he was seeing more and more patients from the Boonville area at his Fayette location.  Dr. Holtwick felt that he acquired many of Dr. Giles McCoy’s patients as he had retired a few years earlier.  In an article for the Boonville Daily News dated September 7, 1994, Dr. Holtwick had noted he focused on manual adjustments of the spine for musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction.  This is essentially what he considered a “traditional chiropractic adjustment.”  It was this practice philosophy that Dr. McCoy’s patients were accustomed to and the reason Dr. Holtwick feels that he did so well from the start with his practice in Boonville.

This is also the reason Dr. Holtwick feels so comfortable and confident with Dr. Green taking over his practice.  “The first time I had Dr. Green give me an adjustment, I told him he had nothing to worry about because he knew how to give a chiropractic adjustment.”  With this confidence in Dr. Green, Dr. Holtwick encourages his patients to continue their chiropractic care with Dr. Green at Boonville Chiropractic.  He feels Dr. Green is extremely qualified to provide chiropractic care to the Boonville area for their musculoskeletal problems.  His qualifications as an Athletic Trainer fit perfectly with his education as a Chiropractic Physician.

Dr. Green graduated from Boonville High School in 2013, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from University of Central Missouri in 2017, and his Doctorate of Chiropractic in February of 2021 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA.  He is nationally certified by both the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer.  He is currently licensed to practice in the State of Missouri.

Dr. Green welcomes patients of all ages.  He treats everyone from children and pregnant women to the elderly.  He has a special passion for treating athletes, from professionals to weekend warriors.  His multi-faceted background gives him a unique approach to chiropractic care.  He utilizes principles from not only chiropractic but also his athletic training background to fully assess and treat any injury or musculoskeletal condition.

Boonville Chiropractic is open Monday through Wednesday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and some Saturdays, by appointment only, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  New patient exams are only $50, which includes a thorough history, comprehensive exam, an adjustment and passive therapies.
