Rt. B Cafe brought out the bats in the big way last Wednesday against CARSTAR for a 14-6 win in Cal Ripken Major.
While in most game six runs would have been enough to win the game for CARSTAR, they were no match on this night as Rt. B Cafe came out of the gates swinging with 11 runs in the bottom half of the first.
Of course Rt. B Cafe didn’t stop at 11 runs. Leading 11-2 after one and 11-4 after 1 1/2, Rt. B Cafe came back and tacked on another run in its half of the second to go up 12-4. Then, after CARSTAR plated two more runs in its half of the third, Rt. B Cafe came back and added two more runs in the bottom half of the inning for the victory.
Bodie White picked up the win for Rt. B Cafe while Darrin Leonard took the loss for CARSTAR. White pitched just one inning and gave up two runs on three hits while striking out one batter. Brayden Viertel pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief for Rt. B Cafe while Aden Rapp threw 2/3 inning.
For CARSTAR, Leonard pitched 2/3 inning and surrendered 11 runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out two batters.
CARSTAR used a total of four pitchers in the game against Rt. B Cafe.
Rt. B Cafe also out-hit CARSTAR 11-6, with Lane Hackman going 2-for-2 with two singles and two RBIs. Kailen Vaca had two singles and one RBI while Bodie White added two singles, Logan Turk with one double and three RBIs, Blaine Begemann with one double and one RBI, Alex Ewings with one single and two RBIs and Brayden Viertel and Aiden Meyers each with one single and one RBI.
For CARSTAR, Payton Oeth went 2-for-2 with a double, home run and one RBI. Aiden Schueler added two singles and two RBIs while Camrin Massey and Baylor Jackson had one single and one RBI.
In the nightcap, QuinlanAgency.com defeated Central Realty in a close game 3-2.
In a game that was back and forth all night, QA.com came out and took the early lead with one run in the top half of the first only to have Central Realty rally back with two in the bottom half of the second to go up 2-1. Meanwhile, after a scoreless third inning, QA.com tied the game with one in the fourth and then scored the go ahead run in the sixth for the win.
Chase Chamberlain picked up the complete game victory for QA.com while Jailyn Patel took the loss for Central Realty. In six innings, Chamberlain struck out 10 batters and gave up two runs on two hits and two walks. Patel, meanwhile, pitched 4 2/3 innings with 12 strikeouts. Patel also gave up two runs on four hits and one walk.
Logan Conz finished the game with two hits for QA.com with a single, double and two RBIs. Brooks Poulsen and Chase Chamberlain also doubled while Lucas Schuster and Shawn Beach-Reasons added one single each.
For Central Realty, who dropped to 3-3, Clayton Schuster doubled while Gabe Romero-Shelton singled.
