Custom Weatherproofing continues its run for the title in Babe Ruth 16Usoftball last Thursday night at Rolling Hills park by picking up a sweep against Central Bank by the scores of 20-5 and 9-7.


Custom Weatherproofing, improving to 3-1 on the season, scored in every inning in the first game against Central Bank and led 6-0 after one and 8-0 after two. However, in the third, inning, Central Bank rallied back with five runs to cut the lead to three at 8-5. Unfortunately for Central Bank, they never got any closer in the game as Custom Weatherproofing exploded for 12 runs in the bottom half of the third to win by the mercy rule.


Rachel Massa picked up the win in the circle for Custom Weatherproofing while Mattie Wells took the loss for Central Bank, who dropped to 0-2. Massa pitched all three innings and gave up five runs on two hits and two walks while striking out two batters. Wells, meanwhile, pitched the first-two innings for Central Bank and gave up eight runs on six hits and one walk while striking out one batter.


Custom Weatherproofing also out-hit Central Bank 13-2, with Rachel Massa going 3-for-3 with one double, two triples and three RBIs. Alexis Trigg finished the game with one single, two doubles and five RBIs while Mia Hatter added a triple, home run and six RBIs, McKinzie Elliott with two singles and one RBI, Alexis Davis with one single and one RBI and Kaitlyn Divine and Kailey Biesemeyer each with one single.


For Central Bank, Ashlen Homan tripled and drove in two runs while Amera Wright had one single.


In the nightcap, Custom Weatherproofing trailed Central Bank 4-1 after the first inning but then rallied with five in the third and three in the fourth to go up 9-5. Meanwhile, in the bottom half of the fourth, Central Bank rallied back again with two more runs to cut the deficit to two.


Rachel Massa was the pitcher of record in the game for Custom Weatherproofing while Mattie Wells took the loss for Central Bank. Massa pitched 3 2/3 innings in relief and allowed three runs on eight hits while striking out five batters. Wells, meanwhile, pitched all four innings for Central Bank and gave up eight runs on 10 hits and one walk while striking out four batters.


Mia Hatter finished the game 3-for-3 at the plate for Custom Weatherproofing with two singles, one double and one RBI. Alexis Trigg had a single, triple and three RBIs while Rachel Massa added a single, double and two RBIs, Kaitlyn Divine, Kailey Biesemeyer and Sydney Joy each with one single and McKinzie Elliott with one RBI.


For Central Bank, Amera Wright went 3-for-3 with one single, two doubles and one RBI. Ashlen Homan finished the game with one single and one triple while Cheyenne Thurman added two singles and one RBI, Kaila Dillender with two singles, Carlie Bishop with one single and Mattie Wells with one RBI.
