Five pitchers combined for a no-hitter to lead C&R Market past W-K Auto 4-2 in Midget League action Thursday night at Kemper park.
C&R Market, improving to 3-1 on the season, opened the game with one run in the top half of the first and then sent three runs across in the third to make it 4-0. W-K Auto, meanwhile, scored both of its run in the bottom half of the fourth to cut the lead in half.
Easton Gerding picked up the win on the mound for C&R Market while Kyran Turner took the loss for W-K Auto. Gerding pitched 1 1/3 innings and struck out four batters. Kade Watring, Olen Beeler, Keylen Roper and Bryton Scott also saw time on the mound for C&R Market. For W-K Auto, Turner pitched the first-two innings and gave up one run on four walks while striking out six batters. Tallin Kempf and Levi Ray each pitched one inning in relief.
Gerding also led the hitting attack for C&R Market with one single and two RBIs. Weston Mundon finished the game with a RBI-single while Keylen Roper had one single and Olen Beeler with one RBI.
W-K Auto finished the game with no hits.
