Central Realty suffers first loss in eight innings against Rt. B Cafe, 15-14

Tint Shop improved to 3-0 in Cal Ripken Major Thursday night by beating CARSTAR in a close game 7-5.
As for Central Realty, they suffered their first loss of the season by losing to Rt B Cafe in the nightcap 15-14 in eight innings.
Although Tint Shop went on to win the game against CARSTAR, it was CARSTAR that had the lead at 5-3 after 4 1/2 before giving up four runs in the bottom half of the fifth to suffer the loss.
Noah Remlinger picked up the win on the mound for Tint Shop while Payton Oeth took the loss for CARSTAR, who dropped to 0-2 on the season. Remlinger pitched 2 1/3 innings in relief of starter Cooper Pfeiffer and gave up two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out three batters. Oeth, meanwhile, pitched 1 2/3 innings in relief of starter Evan Bishop and allowed four runs on three hits and one walk while striking out three batters.
Tint Shop also out-hit CARSTAR 8-4, with Gage Hodges going 2-for-2 with a single, triple and one RBI. Noah Remlinger also had two hits and drove in one run while Bradford Norbury added one triple, Cooper Pfeiffer with one double and Dakota Troost and Dylan Kosky each with one single.
For CARSTAR, Payton Oeth had a single and a double while Evan Bishop added one single and one RBI, Michael Shady with one single, Kaleb Friebe with two RBIs and Baylor Jackson with one RBI.
In the nightcap, which was about as wild as they get, Central Realty led Rt. B Cafe 5-4 after three and 6-4 after four before giving up eight runs in the top half of the fifth. Meanwhile, after trailing 13-8 after 5 1/2, Central Realty rallied back with five runs to tie the game at 13-all. Then, after both teams failed to score in the first extra inning, Rt. B Cafe came back and outscored Central Realty 2-1 in the second extra inning for the win.
Lane Hackman was the pitcher of record in the game for Rt. B Cafe while Clayton Schuster took the loss for Central Realty, who dropped to 2-1 on the season. Hackman, the third pitcher in the game for Rt. B Cafe, pitched a total of 1 1/3 innings and gave up one run on one hit and three walks. Schuster, meanwhile, pitched 3 2/3 innings in relief for Central Realty and allowed six runs on two hits and seven walks while striking out four batters.
Despite being out-hit 14-5, Connor Gorman led Rt. B Cafe with two singles and two runs batted in. Isaac Watring finished the game with one double and one RBI while Rhad Leathers and Lane Hackman added one single and one RBI each and Aden Rapp and Jacob Thoma each with one RBI.
For Central Realty, Jaeshua Barber went 4-for-5 with three singles, one double and five RBIs. Cash Leonard and Grayson Esser each had three singles and one RBI while D’Avion Jones added a single and a double and Alec Schupp and Camrin Massey each with one single and two RBIs.
