Glasgow Lady River Rats and Creations by Diana had two things in common Sunday night in Babe Ruth 10U softball at Lions park.
Along with both winning by shutouts, River Rats and Creations by Diana also remained perfect on the season after two games.
The Rivers Rats defeated Uptown Girlz in a close game by a score of 3-0 while Creations by Diana prevailed in a five-inning contest against Fayette Outlaws 4-0.
The River Rats, 2-0 on the season, also out-hit Uptown Girlz 9-2 while scoring all three runs in the first-two innings with two in the first and one in the second.
Aynslie Lock had eight strikeouts and gave up just two hits in four innings to pick up the win in the circle for River Rats. Cecelia Gaddis, meanwhile, took the loss for Uptown Girlz, who dropped to 0-2, by giving up three runs on just two hits while striking out eight batters in four innings.
Aly Prentzler led the hitting attack in the game for River Rats with a double, triple and one RBI. Aynslie Lock had two singles and two runs batted in while Emmy Senor added two singles and Jayden Korte, Finley Olendorff and Riley Olendorff each with one single.
For Uptown Girlz, Cecelia Gaddis and Avery Haynes each had one single.
In the nightcap, Creations by Diana also scored all four runs in two innings with two in each of the second and third innings of play.
Aubrey Richey picked up the win in the circle for Creations by Diana while Payton Kindle took the loss for Fayette Outlaws. Richey pitched all five innings and struck out 12 batters while giving up just three hits. Kindle, meanwhile, pitched four innings and allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out nine batters.
Creations by Diana also out-hit Fayette Outlaws 7-3, with Anna Wolfe going 1-for-2 with a single and two RBIs. Aubrey Richey, Kinlei Ruffel, Kaleigh Baker, Gentri Oswald and Grace Poulsen each had one single and one RBI.
For Fayette Outlaws, Leah Thies doubled while Kenna Vroman and Kadence Sulltrop each singled.
