The Bunceton Lady Dragons volleyball team fell in two straight sets Wednesday night against Lincoln 7-25 and 9-25.
Bunceton volleyball coach Cassandra Goyer said the girls played hard. “We stayed positive even when we got down,” Goyer said. “We just couldn’t get our passes under control.”
Reagan Triebsch led the Lady Dragons with 26 passes along with eight sets, four hits and one block.
Autumn Bishop finished the match with 24 passes along with two service points with two aces, two hits, one tip and one block while Cara Bishop had 19 passes along with five hits, two sets, two kills, one tip and one block, Taylyn Heilman with 19 passes and three sets, Madelynn Myers with 10 passes, three tips, two service points with two aces and Amaris Vaca with three passes and one hit.
The Bunceton Lady Dragons volleyball team will compete in the Class 1 District 12 Tournament on Monday, Oct. 22nd in Otterville.
Calvary Lutheran drew the No. 1 seed in the tournament, followed by Eugene, Otterville, Russellville, Bunceton, Columbia Independent and Missouri School for the Deaf.
Bunceton will open tournament play against Russellville on Monday starting at 5 p.m., followed by Eugene versus MSD at 6:30 and Otterville versus Columbia Independent at 8.
The winners will advance to the semkifinal round on Tuesday, Oct. 23rd. Calvary Lutheran will face the winner of Russellville-Bunceton at 5 p.m. while the winner of Eugene and MSD will play the winner of Otterville and Columbia Independent at 6:30 p.m.
The championship game will also be held on Tuesday at 8 p.m.
