The LSE Lady Pirates volleyball team dropped its season finale Thursday night at home against the California Pintos, losing the eighth grade match 15-25 and 5-25 and the seventh grade match 12-25 and 7-25.
In the eighth grade match, LSE coach Jamie Boyd said it was not the ideal ending to the season. “The girls improved and worked very hard on their skills and techniques,” Boyd said. “We wish them good luck in high school and continued success in volleyball.”
Alyssa Gross led the Lady Pirates eighth grade team with two service points and two kills.
Genae Hodge finished the match with one service points with one ace and one assist while Abby Pulliam added two service points and one attack, Heath Hall and Kinley Fox each with two attack attempts, Ashlen Homan with two assists, Ava Parman with one ace and one attack and Ashlee Pickens with one service point.
In the seventh grade match, Boyd said the girls worked extremely hard throughout the games and practices. “We are proud of their efforts,” Boyd said.
Cassidy Bishop led the Lady Pirates with two service points, two attacks and two digs.
Mackenzie Drew had one earned point, two aces and one attack, Brenna Hubbard with two earned points and one ace, Adlea Hubbard with two earned points and one attack, Audrionnah Donahue with one earned point and one attack, Hannah Schueler with two attacks, Infiniti Lewis with one kill, Aleah Walters with one earned point and Elly Giroux with one dig.
