The Pilot Grove Lady Tigers softball team recorded its 18th win of the season Tuesday night on the road by beating the Leeton Tigers 9-0.
The Lady Tigers, 18-3 on the season, led Leeton from the first inning on and plated three runs in each of the first and fourth innings of play and then sent one run across in the sixth and two in the seventh.
Pilot Grove coach Neal Bailey said this was a good game for the girls to get back on track to where they want to be. “We were able to see some things a little differently with the situations that came up,” Bailey said.
Senior pitcher Samarah Bailey also picked up her 16th win of the season in 19 games by giving up just one hit and one walk while striking out 15 batters in seven innings.
