The Bunceton Lady Dragons volleyball team picked the perfect match to come out its slump last Friday on the road against Columbia Independent.
While playing several matches close this season only to come out of the short in of the stick, the Lady Dragons finally had one go their way against Columbia Independent while winning in two straight sets 25-13 and 25-15.
Bunceton coach Casandra Goyer said the girls played a good game and had several of their girls end uip with some really good stats. “The girls worked hard together to achieve their first win of the season. It was really great to see all of their hard work pay off.”
Reagan Triebsch led the Lady Dragons with 19 service points with eight of them being aces and five tips.
Senior Autumn Bishop, meanwhile, finished the match with five tips and three service points with two being aces. Cara Bishop had four service points with all four being aces along with one kill and one tip. Madelyn Myers finished the match with two service points with one ace while Alyssa Welch added one service point with one ace and one kill and Amaris Vaca with three service points with one ace.
