With the first official practice of the fall sports season just days away, Boonville Athletic Director Chris Shikles said the season sports passes are also on sale at Boonville R-I High School and Laura Speed Elliott Middle School.
Shikles said an adult season pass to all sporting events is $45 while a student season pass (kids in grades K-12) is $40. Pre-school children are admitted free.
A senior citizen pass for lifetime use is free for patrons of the district who are 65 years of age or older.
As far as family pass to all sporting events, Shikles said the cost is $100. Shikles, however, said the family pass is limited to two adult passes and the number of children in grades K-12. He said children not attending school in grades K-12 are not to be included in a family pass. They may buy an adult pass or pay at the gate, he said.
High School and Laura Speed Elliott Middle School students who purchase a season pass by August 3rd will be able to use their student ID card as their season pass.
Tickets may be purchased in the principal’s office at Boonville R-I High School and Laura Speed Elliott Middle School. Tickets will also be available at the home games or main the form that you pick up with a check or money order to: Athletic Department, Boonville R-I High School, 1 Pirate Drive, Boonville, Missouri 65233 or Athletic Department at Laura Speed Elliott Middle School at 700 Main Street, Boonville, Missouri 65233.
Make checks payable to Boonville R-I Schools. Tickets may be picked up in the principal’s office or will be mailed to you on receipt of your order.
The football jamboree, tournaments and playoff games are not included in season passes. Season passes are good for Boonville R-I High School Athletic events and Laura Speed Elliott Athletic events only.
 Fall practice starts on Monday, August 6th
Mandated by the Missouri High School Activities Association, no team can begin fall practice until Monday, August 6th.
Shikles said tennis, golf, softball, football, volleyball and cross-country will all start on Monday while boys soccer will hold its first practice on Wednesday, August 8th.
The Boonville Pirates football team will open the 2018 season with practice at 6 a.m., followed by the Lady Pirates softball team at 6:30, cross-country team at 7 a.m., Lady Pirates golf team at 8 a.m. at Hail Ridge, Lady Pirates tennis team at 8:30 a.m. and Lady Pirates volleyball team at 3 p.m. As for the Boonville Pirates soccer team, they will open practice on Wednesday starting at 7 a.m.
Football Jamboree will be held on Friday, August 17th
The Boonville Pirates football team will compete in a three team Jamboree on Friday, August 17th in Odessa.
Teams making up the Jamboree, which will start at 6 p.m., are Boonville, Odessa and Richmond.
Fall season kicks off on Friday, August 24th
The Boonville Pirates football team will kick off the 2018 season at home on Friday, Aug. 24th against the Pleasant Hill Roosters starting at 7 p.m.
One day later, the Boonville Lady Pirates softball team will host the Lady Pirate Lead-Off Classic at Rolling Hills park while the Lady Pirates tennis team will host the Lady Pirate Open at the high school tennis courts.
The Boonville JV Lady Pirates volleyball team will also compete in the Tri-County JV Tournament on Saturday, August 25th.
On Monday, August 27th, the Lady Pirates golf team will host Southern Boone of Ashland at Hail Ridge Golf Course starting at 4 p.m. Then, on Tuesday, August 28th, the Boonville boys soccer team will open the season at Father Tolton starting at 5 p.m.
Also on August 28th, the Boonville Lady Pirates volleyball team will host Southern Boone of Ashland in the Windsor gymnasium starting at 5:30 p.m. while the Boonville boys and girls cross-country teams competes at Salisbury starting at 5 p.m.
The Boonville Pirates JV football team will travel to PHill on Aug. 27.
