Aaron Nichols and Sandra Waibel turned in the fastest times to capture first in the male and female division during the 5th annual “A Fair Day t o Run” in Prairie Home on Saturday, July 14th.
Nichols turned in the fastest overall time in 19 minutes and 49 seconds while Waibel finished the 5K run in a time of 29 minutes and 51 seconds.
Prizes were awarded to the first, second and third place finishers in the male and female divisions in 18 and under, 19-50 and 51-plus.
In the male 18-and-under division, Sam Terrell placed first in a time of 21:05. In the men’s 19-50 age group, Levi Forrester finished second behind Nichols in a time of 20:38 while Jon Schneider took third in a time of 20:48.
In the 51-plus division, Mike Baker captured first in a time of 29:30. Meanwhile, in the 51-plus division for walkers, Terry Wetzig captured first in a time of 39:28.
In the 18-and-under female division, Charlotte Painter turned in a time of 33:24 to capture first while Delaeni Painter finished second in 40:25.
In the women’s 19-50 division, Amanda Kliethermes finished second behind Waibel in a time of 34:49 while Rachel Odneal placed third in a time of 34:50.
In the women’s 51-plus division, Terri McNeal and Anita Keene tied for first with a time of 37:12 while Pam Zey finished second in 44:45 and Linda Keith in third place in 44:46.
In the women’s 19-50 division for walkers, Annie Dick finished first in 48:43 while Karen Niederjohn and Alice Odneal tied for first in the 51-plus division in a time of 50:52.
