The Boonville Lady Pirates soccer team recorded its seventh shutout of the season by beating Moberly 10-0 last Thursday in Moberly.
The Lady Pirates, improving to 9-3 overall and 7-1 in the NCMC, led Moberly 6-0 at the half and then added four more goals in the second half to stop the match at the 57 minute mark.
Boonville soccer coach Kaz James said the girls scored in the first 20 seconds of the game and had some good sequences. “Brynn Edwards played an awesome game tonight playing on the outside wing,” James said. “She had two goals and two assists. Kate Peterson had a hat trick while Blake Allison added two goals and one assist.”
Senior Kate Peterson finished the match with three goals for a hat trick to push her to 20 on the season. Sariana Barbarotta had two goals for her 11th and 12th on the season while Brynn Edwards and Blake Allison added two goals each for their fourth and fifth. Maddie Weber also picked up goal No. 5 on the season while Brooke Coleman scored her third to end the game.
Barbarotta, Peterson and Edwards also had two assists each in the game while Allison had one assist.
Boonville goalie Sarah Miller had two saves.
