Pilot Grove’s Austin Kollmeyer will remember the game Monday night against Otterville for several reasons.
Aside from the 17-0 win over the Eagles, Kollmeyer also picked up his first win on the mound with a no-hit shutout and seven strikeouts. He also had a home run and two RBIs at the plate for the Tigers, who improved to 5-2 overall.
Of course it didn’t hurt that Pilot Grove plated all 17 runs in the first-two innings or that they out-hit Otterville 7-0.
Freshman Bailey Quint also accounted for two of the team’s seven hits and five RBIs with a single and grand slam home run. Luke Kollmeyer also had two hits, both of which went for singles and one RBI. Kealin Vinson added a single and two RBIs while Cole Meisenheimer had one single and one RBI and Anderson Twenter, Donnavan Gerke and Dalton Reuter each with one RBI.
