Boonville Abstract and Rick Ball had “Lucky 7” on their side Tuesday night in Babe Ruth 8U softball at Lions park.
Although opening ceremonies was held one night earlier at Rolling Hills park, Boonville Abstract still had plenty of fireworks in the bottom-half of the fourth by scoring both the tying and winning run for a 7-6 win over Walmart.
Meanwhile, in the nightcap, Rick Bridge led Fayette Central Diesel from start to finish for a 7-3 victory.
Emma Pfeiffer led the hitting attack in the game for Boonville Abstract with two singles, one double and two RBIs.
Karrman Leonard and Avery Haynes each had three singles for Boonville Abstract while Brooklyn Hicks added a single, double and two RBIs, Kinsey Biesemeyer and Kendal Hodges each with one single, one double and one RBI, Parker DeVillier with one single and one RBI and Aubriella Hicks and Brooklyn Bosma each with one single.
For Walmart, Addison Goetz and Carmen Mendez each had two singles. Kynna Knapheide finished the game with one single and two RBIs while Maddy Robertson, Kylee Fizer and Kenna Elbert added one single and one RBI each and Haeven Thiara, Katie Crump and Odette Hutchison with one single apiece.
In the nightcap, Charlotte Rohrbach went 3-for-3 with three singles and two RBIs.
Jaden Ronnfeldt also had three singles and one RBI while Lilly Gordon added three singles, Reece Ball with two singles and two RBIs, Destiny Hawkins and Emmah Franklin with two singles and one RBI each and Kiya Hart with one single.
For Fayette Central Diesel, Kadence Sulltrop had two singles and one RBI to lead all hitters.
