Fuemmeler Furniture Refinishings picked up a pair of wins Thursday night in Babe Ruth 12U softball at Rolling Hills park by beating Vollmer Farms and A-Bow-K by the scores of 20-3 and 18-3, respectively.
In the first game against Vollmer Farms, FFR opened the game with four runs in the top-half of the first and then sent 10 runs across in the second and six again in the third. Vollmer Farms, meanwhile, scored all three runs in the bottom-half of the third.
Olivia Eichelberger picked up the win in the circle for FFR while Kasie Northern took the loss for Vollmer Farms. Eichelberger pitched all three innings and gave up three runs on four hits while striking out four batters. Northern, meanwhile, pitched the first-two innings and allowed 14 runs on three hits and nine walks while striking out three. Addie Hubach then came in and pitched one inning in relief and issued six runs on three hits and five walks while striking out one.
FFR also out-hit Vollmer Farms 6-4, with Katelyn Maggard going 2-for-2 with two singles and one RBI. Leah Vollrath tripled and drove in three runs while Zoey Lang and Olivia Eichelberger added one single and two RBIs each and Natalie Glenn with one single.
For Vollmer Farms, Ashlee Pickens and Bridgette Lutz each had one single and one RBI. Addy Nichols and Addie Hubach also singled in the game while Alexa Norman drove in one run.
In the nightcap, FFR again broke out the bats early while leading A-Bow-K 8-2 after one and 12-2 after two. Meanwhile, after A-Bow-K plated one run in the top-half of the third, FFR came back and exploded for six more runs in the bottom-half of the inning for the victory.
Leah Vollrath was the winning pitcher in the game for FFR while Alyssa Gross took the loss for A-Bow-K. Vollrath pitched all three innings and gave up three runs on four hits and five walks while striking out three batters.  Gross, meanwhile, pitched the first-two innings and yielded 12 runs on six hits and five walks while striking out three. Lexi Maddex then came in and pitched one inning in relief and allowed six runs on two hits and five walks.
FFR also out-hit A-Bow-K 8-4, with Natalie Glenn going 2-for-3 with two singles and three RBIs. Kaylen Sprick was 2-for-2 with two singles and two RBIs while Abby Fuemmeler added one single and three RBIs, Kinley Fox and Olivia Eichelberger each with one single and one RBI, Leah Vollrath with two RBIs and Katelyn Maggard with one RBI.
For A-Bow-K, Alexis Schnetzler had two singles and one RBI while Alyssa Gross added one single and two RBIs and Lexi Maddex with one single.
