All-American Flooring raised its season record to 2-0 by beating Central Bank Boone County 11-1 in five innings Monday night in Cal Ripken Major.
All-American Flooring, which has won both games by mercy rule this season, led CBBC 7-1 after two and then sent three runs across in the third and one again in the fifth.
Austin Schuster picked up the win on the mound for AAF while Ethan Watson took the loss for CBBC. Schuster pitched three innings and gave up one run on four hits and one walk while striking out three batters. Watson, meanwhile, pitched two innings and allowed seven runs on three hits and six walks while striking out two batters.
Abram Taylor doubled and drove in three runs to lead AAF while Colby Caton added a double and one RBI. Connor Acton finished the game with one single and two RBIs while Alex Elliott contributed one single and one RBI.
For CBBC, Alex McBain went 1-for-1 with one double. Aaron Vossler finished the game with one single and one RBI while Ethan Watson and Keaton Eads added one single each.
In the nightcap, Einspahr Construction improved to 2-0 by turning back Sell’s Carpet 9-7.
Einspahr Construction trailed Sell’s Carpet 6-5 after three complete innings before rallying back with three runs in the fourth and one again in the fifth for the victory.
Ben Lutz was the pitcher of record in the game for Einspahr Construction while Will Stock took the loss for Sell’s Carpet, who dropped to 0-2 on the season. Lutz pitched two innings in relief of starter Kyler Heath and gave up just one run on two hits while striking out four batters. Stock, meanwhile, pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief of starter Clayton Wilmsmeyer and surrendered four runs on three hits and four walks while striking out one batter.
Einspahr Construction also out-hit Sell’s Carpet 9-8, with Skyler Duncan going 3-for-3 with one RBI. Henry Rohrbach, Max Eckerle and Ben Lutz each had one double and one RBI while Treyton Ginter added one single and one RBI, Michael DeLeon and Logan Goehman each with one single and Kyler Heath with one RBI.
For Sell’s Carpet, Will Stock went 2-for-3 with two singles and two RBIs. Jackson Johns and Hayden Jenks also had two hits while Edrissa Bah-Lamb added one double and one RBI, Garrett Hundley with one single and Clayton Wilmsmeyer with one RBI.
