The Lady Pirates, dropping to 0-5 on the season, trailed St. Joseph Catholic 20-4 at the break and 28-8 after three quarters of play.
LSE coach Susie Stone said the girls did a much better job of taking care of the basketball and rebounding in the second half. “The first half we struggled with the full court pressure of St. Joe Catholic,” Stone said. “We took some good looks at the basket tonight, they just didn’t fall.  It was our first game since Thanksgiving break and we played better each quarter.”
