The Boonville Pirates and Lady Pirates basketball teams will get a chance to play somebody other than themselves on Wednesday, Nov. 16th.
For the Boonville boys, they will stay right at home while hosting a four-team Jamboree at the Windsor gymnasium against Southern Boone, Sturgeon and Moberly.
Boonville and Southern Boone will also start the evening off with the first game at 6 p.m.
Sturgeon and Moberly will then take the floor at 6:25 p.m., followed by Boonville versus Sturgeon at 6:50, Southern Boone versus Moberly at 7:15, Southern Boone versus Sturgeon at 7:40 and Moberly versus Boonville at 8:05.
As for the Boonville girls, they will participate in a four-team Jamboree at Southern Boone against the Lady Eagles, Sturgeon and Troy.
Boonville and Southern Boone will also start the evening off in Ashland at 6 p.m. Sturgeon and Troy will then hit the floor at 6:25 p.m., followed by Boonville versus Sturgeon at 6:50, Southern Boone versus Troy at 7:15, Southern Boone versus Sturgeon at 7:40 and Troy versus Boonville at 8:05.
AT BUNCETON
The Bunceton Dragons will host a three-team Jamboree on Tuesday, Nov. 15th in the gymnasium.
Glasgow and Stover will also take part in the Jamboree, which will consist of six minute games.
Session 1 between the Bunceton girls and Stover will start at 5 p.m., followed by Session 2 between Glasgow girls and Bunceton, Session 3 between Glasgow girls and Stover, Session 4 between Glasgow boys and Bunceton, Session 5 between Glasgow and Stover and Session 6 between Bunceton and Stover.
Note: Admission will be $2 for adults and $1 for students. Concession stand will also be available.
AT PRAIRIE HOME
The Prairie Home Panthers will hold their Jamboree on two nights, with the girls on Tuesday, Nov. 15th and the boys on Thursday, Nov. 17th.
Prairie Home Athletic Director Dalton Armontrout said the girls Jamboree will tip off at 6 p.m. with the Tipton girls playing New Franklin. New Franklin will then take on Prairie Home at 6:40 p.m., followed by Prairie Home versus Tipton at 7:20.
The same schedule will be used for the boys Jamboree on Thursday. Tipton will play New Franklin in the first game at 6, followed by New Franklin versus Prairie Home at 6:40 and Prairie Home versus Tipton at 7:20.
AT TUSCUMBIA
The Pilot Grove boys and girls basketball teams will compete in a three-team Jamboree with Tuscumbia and Richland on Tuesday, Nov. 15th in Tuscumbia.
The Tuscumbia and Pilot Grove boys will open up the Jamboree for the first session at 5 p.m.
The Tuscumbia girls and Pilot Grove will then take the floor for the second session, followed by the Richland boys versus Pilot Grove, Richland girls versus Pilot Grove, Tuscumbia boys versus Richland and Tuscumbia girls versus Richland.
Note: Each team will play three six-minute quarters against each opponent.
The admission charge for the Jamboree is $4 for adults, $3 for students (grades K-12) and children 5-and-under and senior citizens free.
