The LSE Lady Pirates volleyball team had another productive night on the court by beating the Marshall Owls in two straight sets 25-21 and 25-22.
LSE volleyball coach Ashanti Williams said the eighth grade team looked great. “We are learning to make adjustments as the game goes on against a good Marshall team,” Williams said.
Makiya West had 14 service points with 10 aces along with five kills for LSE. Jodie Bass had nine service points with five aces while Daylynn Baker added six service points with two aces, Hana Cook with six service points with three aces and two kills, Sophi Waibel with four service points with one ace, Alexis Trigg with three service points, Skylar Copeland with three service points with one ace.
In the B-team match, which consisted of the LSE seventh grade volleyball team, the Lady Pirates fell 25-21 and 25-16.
Faith Mesik had 16 service points with nine aces and one kill while Hope Mesik added seven service points with three aces, Deana Henderen with three service points with one ace and one kill, Rayghan Skoufos with three service points, Kyleigh Thacker and Kaitlynn Elliott each with two service points, Madison Henderen with two kills and one service point and Ella Kearns and Jenna McKee each with one service point.
