The Bunceton Dragons baseball team fell on the road Tuesday night against the Jamestown Eagles 12-2 in five innings.
The Dragons, dropping to 3-4 on the season, trailed 2-0 after two innings against Jamestown before rallying back with two runs in the top-half of the third to tie the game at 2-all. However it was all Jamestown after that with 10 unanswered runs over the next-three innings for the victory.
Blake Petsel took the loss on the mound for Bunceton by giving up six runs on four hits and four walks in 2 1/3 innings. Petsel also struck out two batters. Riley Layne then came in and pitched two innings in relief and allowed six runs on five hits and one walk while striking out two batters.
Flippin picked up the win for Jamestown by giving up two runs on just one hit and two walks in three innings. Flippin also had four strikeouts in the ballgame.
Jamestown also out-hit Bunceton 9-1, with Wolfe going 2-for-2 with a single, home runs and two RBIs. Flippin also had two hits, both of which went for singles.
For Bunceton, Mason Wells went 1-for-1 with one single while Blake Petsel and Riley Layne each had one RBI.
