If the Boonville Lady Pirates golf team didn’t already know the Berrey sisters, they do now.
In a dual meet Thursday night at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville, Haleigh Berrey and Serena Berrey sisters shot a 33 and 34, respectively, to lead Father Tolton past Boonville 163-206.
Boonville Lady Pirates golf coach Rob VanderLinden said Father Tolton has a very good team led by the Berrey sisters. “Both sisters shot under par,” VanderLinden said. “Our girls played to their averages, while Father Tolton played better than they normally do.”
While the Berrey sisters finished the front nine and 2 and 1 under, Boonville junior McKenna Stumph had the low score for the Lady Pirates with a 6-over par 41 with one birdie, two pars and five bogeys.
Olivia Reynolds finished the par 35 course with a score of 53 with one par and three bogeys while Alisa Newbold shot a score of 54 with four bogeys, Jalyn Schnetzler with a score of 58 with two bogeys, Mille Dorman with a score of 59 with one bogey and Ali Taylor with a score of 60 with one bogey.
Rounding out the scoring for Father Tolton had Ali Goldon with a score of 45, Quincy Sinek 51, Emmaline Luckimeyer 61, Olivia Barnes 64 and Elizabeth Lloyd 66.
The Boonville Lady Pirates golf team will compete next in the NCMC Tournament on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Hail Ridge Golf Course in Boonville starting at 9 a.m. This will be the first time that the Boonville girls golf team has ever hosted the conference tournament.
