The Bunceton Lady Dragons volleyball team fell in two straight Thursday night against Hallsville by the scores of 25-20 and 25-11.
Despite losing the match in two straight, head coach Casandra Goyer said the girls showed a lot of growth as a team.
“I am extremely proud of the effort and the mental toughness that the girls showed last night,” Goyer said.  “I think we had a huge personal win as far as that goes even though the score may have said otherwise.  I am excited for next week and I hope we can take what we have learned these last three games and apply them to next week’s schedule.”
Junior Lauren Wieland led the Lady Dragons with two service aces, two blocks, one kill and one dig.
Rachel Lenz had two digs, two aces and one service ace while Emily Gregory and Cara Bishop added three digs each, Skyler Shuffield with two blocks and Jenna Kahle with one service ace and one dig.
