CARSTAR picked up its first win of the season by beating Citizen’s Community Bank 15-13 in Babe Ruth 10U softball Saturday at Lions park.
CARSTAR, improving to 1-5-1 on the season, led Citizen’s Community Bank 6-3 after one, 10-4 after two and 15-9 after three. However, in the top-half of the fourth, CCB rallied back with four runs to make it a two-run ballgame.
Allison Drummond picked up the win in the circle for CARSTAR while Kinley Fox took the loss for CCB, who dropped to 4-6 on the season. Drummond pitched the first-two innings and gave up four runs on two hits and three walks while striking out one batter. Hannah Strawhun, meanwhile, pitched two innings in relief and allowed nine runs on three hits and eight walks while striking out one.
For CCB, Fox pitched one inning and issued six runs on seven walks. Isabelle Rohrbach then came in and pitched one inning in relief and yielded four runs on six walks while striking out one batter. Then, to finish the game, Alexis Schnetzler pitched one inning and surrendered five runs on five walks while striking out one.
CARSTAR had no hits in the ballgame while CCB finished the game with two hits, with Ny’Asia Jones going 2-for-4 with two singles and two RBIs. Kinley Fox and LeAsia Bruce each had one single.
CARSTAR’s Kaylynn Stephens also made a diving stop to keep the ball in the infield and then threw out Ny’Asia Jones for CCB.

Tucker’s Fine Jewelry 6
Fuemmeler Furniture Refinishings scored six runs in every inning to beat Tucker’s Fine Jewelry by a score of 24-6 in Babe Ruth 10U softball Friday night at Lions park.
FFR, improving to 10-0 on the season, led Tucker’s Fine Jewelry 6-2 after one, 12-2 after two, 18-5 after three and  24-5 after 3 1/2 before giving up one run in the bottom-half of the fourth.
Cassidy Bishop was the winning pitcher in the circle for FFR while Addison Powell took the loss for Tucker’s Fine Jewelry, who dropped to 0-8-1 on the season. Bishop pitched all four innings and gave up six runs on four hits and one walk while striking out 10.
For Tucker’s Fine Jewelry, Powell pitched the first-two innings and surrendered 12 runs on seven hits and five walks. Allie Spielbauer then came in and pitched two innings in relief and allowed 12 runs on one hit and five walks while striking out two batters.
FFR also out-hit Tucker’s Fine Jewelry 8-4, with  Abby Fuemmeler going 4-for-4 with three singles, one home run and three RBIs.
Allison Eichelberger was 2-for-4 with two singles and one RBI while Cassidy Bishop added two singles, Amera Wright with a home run and one RBI and Bayleigh Warren with one single and three RBIs.
For Tucker’s Fine Jewelry, Addie Huster had a double while Endia Williams added one single and one RBI and Allie Spielbauer and Angelina Richardson each with one single.
Abby Fuemmeler hit a grand slam home run in the bottom-half of the fourth for FFR.

Creations by Diana exploded for six runs in the first inning and never looked back, beating CARSTAR by a score of 14-9 in Babe Ruth 10U softball Friday night at Lions park.
Marci Lammers picked up the win in the circle for Creations by Diana, who improved to 8-3 on the season, while Kasie Northern took the loss for CARSTAR.
Emma Sleeper had two singles and one RBI to lead Creations by Diana while Kierstyn Woodruff and Elana Wirths added one single each.
CARSTAR had no hits in the ballgame.
