Boonville Abstract, Philip Imhoff Construction and Drummond Photography all had something in common when it came to Babe Ruth 8U softball Thursday night at Lions park.
Aside from all playing on the same night at Lions park, they also won their games as Boonville Abstract defeated Custom Weatherproofing 8-0 while PIC upended 87 Diner by a score of 15-3. Drummond Photography also won 7-3 over Walmart.
Boonville Abstract, improving to 7-2 on the season, led Custom Weatherproofing 1-0 after one, 6-0 after two and 7-0 after three before adding another run in the bottom-half of the fourth.
Emersyn Eads led the hitting attack in the game for Boonville Abstract with two singles, one double and one RBI.
Emme Comegys and Riley Wilson finished the game with three singles and one RBI while Lilli Moore added two singles, Mia Eckerle with one triple and three RBIs, Sophie Zoeller with one single and one RBI and Alivia Bottoms, Ellise Kirchner, Elizabeth Eichelberger and Reagan Wilson each with one single.
For Custom Weatherproofing, who dropped to 0-9 on the season, Cloey Tavenner had two singles while Callie Gann, Alexis Johns and Kaleia Martin each had one single.
In the second game, PIC led 87 Diner from start to finish while pushing across two runs in the first, five in the second, three again in the third and five in the fourth. 87 Diner, meanwhile, scored all of its runs-totalling three-in the bottom-half of the second.
Shelby Munden went 4-for-4 in the game for PIC, who improved to 6-3, with two singles, two doubles and three RBIs.
Isabelle Imhoff finished the game with three singles, one double and four RBIs while Kendall Rhorer added two singles, one double and two RBIs, Grace Poulsen with three singles and two RBIs, Maggie Schuster, Kenlei Ruffel and Jessie Wilson each with three singles and one RBI, Rebecca Renfrow with one single and one RBI and Lauren Thompson and Molly Davidson each with one single.
For 87 Diner, Brynn Belstle had two singles and one RBI while Adelaide Lenz added two singles, Destiny Hawkins with one single and one RBI and Addison Johnson, Cecelia Gaddis, Dakota Leonard, Elizabeth Giroux and Katie Crump each with one single.
In the final game, Drummond Photography jumped out to a 4-1 advantage after the first inning and then outscored Walmart 3-2 in the third for the victory.
Kately Drummond and Mylie Edwards each had three singles.
Mabry Caton finished the game with two singles and three RBIs while Kamryn Hundley added two singles and one RBI, Lily Gordon also with two singles, Peyton Umfleet and Rowan Stock each with one single and one RBI and Hillary James, Andi Hein and Emmah Franklin with one single each.
For Walmart, who dropped to 6-3 on the season, Katie Pefferman had three singles and one RBI while Alycia Felgar and Seidi Sosa added three singles each, Hailey Platt with two singles and one RBI, Loralei Hunziker with two singles, Becca Shaw with one double and three RBIs and Kadence Sultrop, Molly Wolfe, Payton Kindle and Cameron Sosa each with one single.
