The Prairie Home Panthers baseball team fell for the second time in as many ballgames by losing to the Otterville Eagles Tuesday night in Otterville 10-0.
The Panthers, dropping to 1-4 on the season, surrendered one run in the first and then gave up two again in the second, three in the third and two in each of the fourth and fifth innings of play to suffer the loss.
Prairie Home coach Dalton Armontrout said there was a lot more effort in this game than Monday night against New Franklin. “We have a bunch of guys playing out of position,” Armontrout said. “We were very aggressive at the plate tonight, but they didn’t seem to find a hole. We look to get a win versus Bunceton on Friday.”
Ben Stock took the loss on the mound for Prairie Home by giving up 10 runs in 4 1/3 innings.
Creed Flood, Ben Stock and Enoch Turner had the only hits in the game for Prairie Home, all being singles.
