Boonville will once again be home turf for the only Missouri Youth Soccer Association sanctioned Fustal Tournament in Missouri.
The tournament will be held this weekend on February 12-13 and teams from across the state, including Illinois and Kansas, will be playing throughout the town at Boonville High School, Hannah Cole Primary, David Barton, Laura Speed Elliott and the Boonslick Heartland YMCA.
Fifty-nine teams, with boys and girls ages 8-18, will be competing in a fast paced, action packed soccer game in a quest to bring home the championship trophy. The game is a scaled down version of outdoor soccer, played with a heavier ball and five players per side.
There will be several Boonville teams to cheer for and admission is free.
Approximately 600 futsal players and their fans will embark on Boonville this weekend.
