The Ss. Peter & Paul girls sixth grade basketball team captured the championship in the Fayette Tournament over the weekend by finishing 3-0 with wins against Harrisburg, Centralia and Salisbury.
In the opening game against Harrisburg, Addi Brownfield burned the nets for a game-high 24 points to lead Ss. Peter & Paul to a 50-10 victory.
Brownfield also finished the game with eight rebounds, three steals, two blocked shots and one assist while Lillian Rohrbach added 16 points, three rebounds and three assists, Emma West with 10 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double, Olivia Eichelberger with two points, two assists and one steal, Alyssa Fitzgerald with four rebounds and one steal, Hailey James with one rebound and one assist and Ari Webster with with one steal.
In the second game against Centralia, the Lady Warriors again led from start to finish for a 31-19 victory.
Brownfield had the high game for Ss. Peter & Paul with 17 points along with four rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals.
Eichelberger finished the game with six points and one rebound while Rohrbach chipped in four points and three assists, West with two points and two rebounds, James with two points, Webster with one steal and Fitzgerald with one rebound.
In the championship game against Salisbury, the Lady Warriors had a little tougher time but the results were still the same as Ss. Peter & Paul prevailed by a score of 26-19.
Brownfield finished the game with 19 points, three steals and two rebounds for Ss. Peter & Paul.
West had three points and three rebounds while Eichelberger and James each had two points, Rohrbach with one rebound and one steal, Fitzgerald with two rebounds and Webster with one rebound.
