The Boonville Police Department’s “Shopping with local cops” hosted their fifth event and was able to take 46 children shopping this past Saturday! The project, “Shopping with local cops” was started to help create positive relationships between law enforcement officers and youth within our community, while funding several children the opportunity to shop for necessities as well as things they wanted to make their Christmas a great one. The project is funded solely off donations from businesses and local individuals living in or around Cooper County. Without the support of our local businesses and community, this event would not be what it is today and is something we hope to continue in the coming years! Thank you to the Cooper County Sheriff’s Office, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Boonville, Missouri Walmart for their continued support in this program.
