Central Pantry will reduce hours for hunger relief services to continue providing drive-through distribution.

New hours for the pantry will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the 1007 Big Bear Blvd. location, according to a Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri news release.

The change will allow staff and volunteers more time to pack the food for distribution and maintain adequate social distancing with reduced staffing levels, the release stated.

The pantry switched to a drive-through method at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic for the safety of staff, volunteers and patrons. Residents can come to Central Pantry and food will be loaded into their vehicles to maintain social distancing, the release reads.
