Farmers and Ranchers have until Aug. 28 to apply the for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program through the United States Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency.

The state’s agency has received 31,188 applications and distributed approximately $253 million as of Monday.

Missouri Farmers and Ranchers are encouraged to visit the program website or call 1-877-508-8364 to learn about eligibility and options to apply.

The program provides direct relief to producers who faced price declines and additional marketing costs due to COVID-19. A range of commodities are eligible for a fund payment. A full list of eligible commodities is available through the program website.

Applications can be submitted online for those with an eAuthentication account. Those without an account can sign up for one online. Farmers and Ranchers still can apply manually. A CFAP Application Generator and Payment Calculator allows one to input specific information to an operation, which will help determine estimated payments and populate the application form.
