The Bunceton Ball Field lights were turned on at 8:20 p.m. April 17 to honor senior softball players.

The player’s uniforms were hung from the bleachers by Bunceton Athletic Director Brian Emde and softball coach Dustin Ray. The lights were for 20 minutes and 20 seconds to recognize the Class of 2020 players. Residents could drive by and honk their horns. Those who would have been seniors on the team this spring were Cara Bishop, Ashlyn Twenter, Chloe Moser, Lyrik Tracy and Reagan Triebsch.

Student activities from home

Fifth-grade teacher Sandy Page, who also teaches third-, fourth- and fifth-grade science has students pick two activities each week to do on their choice boards on Fridays.

Page conducts lessons Monday through Thursday online with students and on Friday is catch-up day. Students make their choice board activity decision and finish up any missing assignments.

One student, Caleb Ewings, recently did a science scavenger hunt and sent pictures to Page.
