COOPER COUNTY — A Marshall man is wanted for felony leaving the scene of an accident after allegedly using his truck to push another vehicle off the road after he was witnessed running through fences and doing doughnuts in a field south of Pilot Grove.

James Wansing, 19, drove through fencing and spun his truck in a field Jan. 26 in the 6700 block of Schlotzhauer Road, according to court documents.

Wansing had arrived at a party on the property that night, asking to purchase narcotics and was told to leave by the owner, said Prosecuting Attorney Eric Phelps. He allegedly retaliated by driving through their field.

Two of the property owners attempted to approach the vehicle after it ran through another portion of the fence and stopped at the intersection of Schlotzhauer Road and Georgetown Drive.

One of the owners said he was almost run over as he approached the truck. Another witness passed him and attempted to block Georgetown Drive. Wansing allegedly used his truck to push the other vehicle into the ditch, causing more than $10,000 in damage.

Wansing allegedly drove toward Otterville and was located by deputies. He had a flat tire after running over the fence, according to court documents.

A warrant was issued Wednesday for his arrest, with bond set at $7,500.
