Boonville FFA, DECA, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and Future Health Professionals (HOSA) teamed up to donate items to the University of Missouri Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
The Boonville FFA chapter was awarded a $320 National FFA Living to Serve Grant so the chapters could create isolette blankets, isolette name tags, and holiday shirts for patients in the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit. All items will be delivered to the hospital in time for Christmas. Students teamed up to utilize their skills learned in career and technical education classes to be able to give back to others.
FCCLA Members and students in Mrs. Roberts Child Development class cut isolette blankets, FFA members laminated isolette name tags, and DECA and FFA members made custom screen prints for newborn shirts for the patients.
