A drug task force arrested two people last week in Boonville on suspicion of distributing methamphetamine from a home on Third Street

The East Central Drug Task Force, which includes law enforcement from Audrain, Cooper, Howard, Montgomery, Monroe, Pike and Warren counties, arrested Shawn Greer, 45, after serving a search warrant Oct. 3 at a home on Third Street in Boonville, according to a news release from the Cooper County Sheriff’s Department. Greer is charged with felony delivery of a controlled substance.

When Task Force Officer M.P. Cheek searched the home on Third Street, he found a digital scale and five plastic bags containing a crystal substance, he wrote in a probable cause statement charging Shawn Greer. Cheek tested the substance in one of the bags, and it tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine, Cheek wrote. The officer did not write how much of the substance was recovered.
