JEFFERSON CITY — Authorities say a head-on crash in central Missouri left two people dead and four injured.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened Tuesday night when 19-year-old Sydney Shrag, of Jefferson City, crossed the centerline of a Cole County highway and collided with a pickup truck. The coroner pronounced Shrag and one of her passengers, 21-year-old Damani Winters, also of Jefferson City dead at the scene.

Anthony Bertucci of Russellville, also a passenger in Shrag's car, was flown by air ambulance to University of Missouri Hospital with serious injuries. The three people in the truck, Aaron Hauzer, 51, and Twila Hauzer, 46, both of Jefferson City, and Bobbie Wilfawn, 67, of Branson, were brought by ambulance to MU Hospital for treatment.
