Riley Equine Center completed its eighth annual Riley Equine Round-up Showcase Horse
Show on Saturday.
Thirty riders competed which was a record high for the Center. Each rider was sponsored by individuals or businesses from Boonville and the surrounding communities.
There were eight divisions with three classes each: pleasure, trail, and barrel race.
In the first division, Brandy Hillen took first place in the pleasure class, and Tyson Mills was second. Mills took first in the trail and barrel race classes.
In the second division, Levi McKenzie took first place in the pleasure class, Weslee Wren took second, Izzy Himmelberg in third and Lizzy Wren in fourth. Himmelberg took first in the trail class, followed by Lizzy Wren, McKenzie, and Weslee Wren. McKenzie took first in the barrel race, followed by Weslee Wren, Himmelberg and Lizzy Wren.
In the third division, Zachary Orr took first place in the pleasure class, followed by DeLana Iverson, Jax Morrow and Liya Blumenthal. Iverson took first in the trail class, followed by Blumenthal, Orr and Morrow. Orr took first in the barrel race, followed by Morrow, Iverson and Blumenthal.
In the fourth division, Violet Washburn took first in the pleasure class, followed by Skyler Ward, Aydriah Mossman and Aurora Sandberg. Sandberg took first in the trail class, followed by Ward, Washburn and Mossman. Sandberg also took first in the barrel race, followed by Ward, Mossman and Washburn.
In the fifth division, Breck Campbell took first place in each event. In the pleasure class, he was followed by Ashley Bradford, Drew Zeugin and Christina Appleberry. In the trail class, he was followed by Appleberry, Bradford and Zeugin. In the barrel race, he was followed by Bradford, Zeugin and Appleberry.
In the sixth division, Lily Washburn took first place in the pleasure class, followed by Hazel Roth, Makenna Campbell and Katie Phillips. Phillips took first in the trail class, followed by Washburn, Campbell and Roth. Washburn also took first in the barrel race, followed by Phillips, Bampbell and Roth.
In the seventh division, Bailey Sutherland took first place in the pleasure class, followed by Kandys Campbell, Katy Dew and Hope Bryan. Sutherland also took first place in the trail class, followed by Campbell, Bryan and Dew. Campbell took first place in the barrel race, followed by Bryan, Sutherland and Dew.
In the eighth division, Cheryl Bonen took first place in the pleasure class, followed by Ann Petty, Nancy Hayes and Dan Zoellner. Hayes took first in the trail class followed by Petty and Bonen. Petty took first in the barrel race, followed by Bonen and Hayes.
Riley Equine Center was honored by having two professionals provide their services to facilitate the show, Gary Taggert from Centertown as the judge and Dale Taggert of California as the announcer.
Serving in the role of judges assistant was Diana Thomas of Boonville. The show photographer was Julie Doerr of Boonville, and the ring stewardess was Janet Carpenter of Boonville. The Instructor/Trainer was Everett Kuester and the Tack Crew chairman was Ann Kuester, both of whom are from Prairie Home.
Concession managers were Ashley McKenzie of Fayette and Brandy O’Bryan of Boonville. Fundraiser Chairman was Kathleen Washburn of New Franklin.
