Central Community Action;s Cooper County CARE Basket initiative is in full swing for the 2016 Holiday Season. The baskets are given to families in need during the holiday season. Items such as toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, diapers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and etc.
CMCA's Cooper County Family Resource Center is still in need of more items. Evan Melkersman, CMCA's Cooper/Howard Community Organizer stated, "Last year, we were able to serve 33 families with approximately 3600 items. There are more families that need our help. Please consider making a donation to this initiative. We will accept donations until Monday, December 12.”
Items can be dropped off at 401 E. High Street during office hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If anyone needs more information or knows a family that we could help, please contact 660-882-5601.
