BOONVILLE–Mark Hittner is scheduled to be the guest speaker for the Sixth Annual Boonville R-1 School Foundation Dinner. The dinner will be held at the Isle of Capri Casino at 5:30 p.m. On April 13.
Hittner is a 1975 graduate of Boonville High School. He played as Quarterback for the BHS State Championship Team in 1974. His Parents owned Hittner Furniture in downtown Boonville until it sold in 1986. Also, his parents owned and operated A&W Drive-in during the 1960's.
Hittner is a 1980 graduate of Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kans. He was Quarterback on the football team for four years. He earned a double degree in accounting and economics at PSU and was employed at Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Okla. until 1986 when he
moved to Kansas City where and has resided ever since.
Hittner Rebecca Overstreet of Boonville in 1982 and they have three sons: Jason, Grant and Lincoln.
Hittner  began refereeing football in 1980. He refereed the Big 8 Conference from 1984-1995, the Big 12 in 1996 and has since moved up to the NFL.
He has refereed in three Super Bowls 36, 38 and 40.
Less than ] 300-tickets are available. A table can be reserved for $250.00 (eight tickets). Individual tickets are $25.00 each. This year, the goal is to raise $800 per table.
