Boonville junior pitcher Lillian Newham was a workhorse in the circle over the weekend during the Turf War Softball Tournament in California. Newham started in all three games in the tournament for the Lady Pirates, who finished 1-2 overall with a 10-3 win over Montrose, a 6-2 loss against top-seeded St. Elizabeth and a 10-5 loss against California in the third place game.
