Seaman Apprentice Hendrik Derendinger, a member of the Thomas Jefferson Division of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, was named Overall Honor Cadet after completing Recruit Training in Pineville, LA. He also successfully completed Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Training in Wilmore, KY. This recognition at Recruit Training is awarded to the top-performing cadet for superior performance and leadership. “These summer trainings give our cadets invaluable experience in leadership, teamwork, and military traditions,” said LCDR Regina Hall, commanding officer of the Thomas Jefferson Division in Jefferson City. “We’re proud of each cadet’s accomplishments and the professionalism they demonstrated while representing their unit.”The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a federally-chartered, nonprofit youth program for students age 10 through 18 that fosters leadership, citizenship, and patriotism.
