LAKE SAINT LOUIS Clarence Frederick Lammers passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the age of 93. He is survived by his son, Joseph (Brenda) Lammers of St. Charles, Missouri; daughter, Julee (David) Loesche; sisters, Thelma (Delphinus, deceased) Kraus, Jeanette (Henry, deceased) Stegner and brother David (Nancy) Lammers; grandchildren, Jacob Loesche (Hannah Seaman) of Plymouth, Massachusetts; Erica (Reagan) Wallace of Los Angeles, California; sisters-in-law, Joan Lammers and Barbara Lammers and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Lammers, to whom he was married for 65 years; parents Richard and Florence Lammers; brothers, Kenneth Lammers; Richard Lammers; sister, Alice (Phillip) Templemire.

ANITA M. LANG

1935-2023 Anita M. Lang, 87, of Blackwater, MO, passed away at Ashley Manor in Boonville on Saturday, April 29, 2023. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday May 5 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Boonville. The Holy Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. Thursday May 4 at the church, with visitation to follow until 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Martin’s Cemetery at Martinsville. Anita Maryann Hartman Lang was born in Tipton, MO May 3, 1935, the daughter of Joseph J. Hartman and Minnie K. Doerner Hartman. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1953. She married John W. Lang in Tipton, MO May 17, 1955 and they are the parents of five children. They farmed in the Blackwater-Lamine area. Anita was a devoted housewife and farmwife, a dedicated mother, a proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren & 8 greatgrandchildren, and a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Deeply admired and respected by her family and friends, she was a mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She enjoyed the holidays and the gathering of all family members. Anita always had a smile on her face and was honest, kind, and loving. She loved the outdoors, tending to her garden, flowers, and lawn. Anita enjoyed quilting at church and left behind many quilts for the family. Leaving a legacy of precious memories, she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Lang was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Laura Patterson, and her sister Bernadette Hartman. She is survived by her children Kathy Phillips (Wyatt) & Russell Lang (Karla) of Boonville, MO; Jerry Lang (Mary Lammers) of Columbia, MO; and Barbara Cook (Thomas) of Plano, TX. Her sisters, Dorothy Imhoff and Dolores Distler of Jefferson City, MO; brother, Joseph E. Hartman of Tipton, MO; and her son-in-law, Scott (Dawn) Patterson of Wardsville, MO. LEONA MARIE SHACKELFORD

Leona Marie Shackelford, 79, of Pilot Grove passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 30, 2023, at her home. Leona will be laid to rest next to her husband Herbert in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, Mo. On Saturday May 6, 2023, and A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Leona Marie Branch was born December 20, 1943, the daughter of Robert Clinton and Nancy Pearl (Davis) Branch. Leona married Herbert Shackelford on December 24, 1959, in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved spending time with her family. Leona especially loved spending time with each grandchild, she loved them so dearly. Leona also enjoyed word searches, flowers, and gardening. Her fun, loving personality will be forever missed. Leona is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Nancy Branch, husband Herbert Shackelford, brothers William, Raymond, and Carl Branch, sisters Becky and Faye Langley, infant son Francis Shackelford, and infant great grandchild Braylon. She is survived by her sons Herbert Shackelford Jr., Roger (Leann) Shackelford, and Edward (Shelley) Shackelford all of Boonville, daughters Ruby Strodtman of Boonville, Patsy (Jimmy) Steffes of Bonne Terre, and Joyce Moore of Boonville, brother Kenny Branch, and sisters Kathryn Keeth, Francis Watts, Peggy Lashley, and Merle Barnhouse. She also leaves behind grandchildren John (Brandi) Strodtman, Dalton (Allison) Strodtman, Aaron Strodtman, Jessie Kelley, Kyle (Meaghan) Hurn, Heidi (Mark) Porter, Alicia (Wesley) Chenault, Clint Moore, Ryan (Tommie) Shackelford, Eddie (Kim) Wilson, and Sean (Shavon) Wilson, great grandchildren Aauryanna, Laylea, Ryan, Kyleigh, Terrance, Sophia, Greyson, Brayden, Harley, Lillian, Acelynn, Britni, Tanner, Hunter, Alexis, Kaden, Alexis, Makayla, Taegan, Bella, Isaiah, Elijah, Lane, Shelby and Karley and great-great grandchild Kacee.
