Tigers put up a good fight in loss to Sacred Heart, Lock leads Prairie Home past Tuscumbia

The Pilot Grove boys basketball team put up what head coach Derek Skaggs called one heck of a fight Thursday night in a 76-63 loss against Sedalia Sacred Heart in the Pilot Grove Tiger Classic. In other games Thursday night in the tournament, the Prairie Home boys defeated Tuscumbia 64-27 while the Leeton boys beat Sturgeon 77-42.

CENTRALIA ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

Boonville's Zoe Davis, Addi Brownfield and Abby Fuemmeler were selected to the Centralia's All-Tournament Team for their play during the week. The Lady Pirates finished 3-0 in the tournament by beating Macon 58-49 for the championship on Friday. CHRIS BOWIE

Brownfield hits career high with 31 points in 58-53 win over Centralia

Just the mention of Centralia gets Boonville senior Addi Brownfield ready to come out fighting but in a good way. After pouring in a season high 29 points last year against Centralia in the Centralia Invitational Tournament, Brownfield hit that mark and then some again on Wednesday in the semifinal round by tying her career-high with 31 points in a 58-53 win against the Panthers.
