New Franklin boys and girls drop regular season finale

The New Franklin boys’ and girls’ basketball teams saw a different storm brewing Wednesday night in CAC action at Glasgow. While moving up their games one day to beat the winter weather, the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs couldn’t have predicted what was about to take place less than 24 hours after picking up the sweep Tuesday night at home against Pilot Grove.

Lady Pirates get off to slow start in 56-37 loss against Jeff City

Boonville Lady Pirates basketball coach Jaryt Hunziker knew it was going to be a long night after his team trailed Jefferson City 14-7 at the end of the first quarter. But little did he know that the night would grow longer in the second period as Boonville converted on just 1 of 15 shots from the field and 0 of 10 from the three-point arc to trail the Lady Jays by 21 (30-9) at the half.
