While the Bulldogs fell the night before against Northeast of Cairo 4-3 in eight innings, Gerding said the loss against Salisbury was definitely a tough one to swallow.

The Boonville Pirates tennis team finally had one go its way Thursday night at Fulton. After three straight losses by the identical scores of 8-1, the Pirates put it all together against the Hornets by recording wins in four out of singles matches and all three doubles matches for a 7-2 victory.
The Boonville girls’ soccer team did everything it could to slow down a more experienced Oak Grove squad Monday night at the Boonville City Soccer Field. While the Lady Pirates fell to Oak Grove 8-0, dropping them to 0-3 on the season, head coach Alec Adair said Monday’s game was another tough one to swallow.
The Boonville Pirates baseball team will know about perseverance after playing five games in five days this week. After winning 17-8 on the road Tuesday night against Osage, the Pirates will play four games in a course of four days (two on Wednesday) in the West Central Missouri Baseball Tournament hosted by Smith-Cotton and Warrensburg High School.
The Boonville Pirates golf team met its match Monday night while hosting the Southern Boone Eagles at Hail Ridge Golf Course. Although the Pirate golfers entered the dual unbeaten at 5-0, Boonville golf coach Rob VanderLinden knew the match would be tough given that Southern Boone finished second in the Tri-County Conference Tournament in 2021.
The Boonville Pirates baseball team accomplished three things Tuesday night on the road against the Osage Indians. Along with winning the game 17-8, the Pirates also recorded their highest run total of the season with 17 runs.
Boonville’s No. 6 singles player Austin Rice is quickly emerging as the gotwo guy for the Pirates so far this season.
