LONDON (AP) — Tennis great Boris Becker could face a jail sentence after being found guilty on Friday of illicitly moving thousands of dollars from a bank account after he was declared bankrupt. A jury at London’s Southwark Crown Court convicted Becker on four charges under the Insolvency Act, including removal of property, concealing debt and two counts of failing to disclose estate.
The LSE boys and girls track teams had what head coach Erin Sommerer called the toughest competition of the season Monday while competing in the Fulton Meet. “Our kids competed their hearts out and both the boys and girls did amazing,” Sommerer said.
The Boonville boys track team had another dominating performance on Monday with 10 first place finishes in the Centralia Meet. While no team scores were kept for the meet, Boonville track coach Ryan Lyons said it was another great day of competition for the boys.
The Boonville Lady Pirates soccer team is getting closer to its first win of the 2022 season. Tuesday night at home against Capital City, the Lady Pirates fell in a close game by a score of 3-1.
The New Franklin boys and girls middle school track team competed in the Harrisburg Relays on Monday. New Franklin eighth grader Lily Chitwood placed first in both the long and triple jump for the Lady Bulldogs.
The Boonville Pirates golf team finished ninth out of 16 teams Tuesday during the Moberly Invitational at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Moberly. While playing short-handed in the tournament, Boonville golf coach Rob VanderLinden said freshman Zack Espey had his best tournament score of his young career with a 5-over par 75.
